Harvest Depot began in 1993 as a part time shop. Doug Schwartz has always enjoyed motor sports and spent many weekends working on his, as well as his friends, machines. Out of this grew a desire to one day open his own shop. In 1992, Doug and his family bought a house in the country which included a small barn. With his wife and kids at his side, work was begun on the clean up and remodeling of the barn. After much work, Harvest Depot opened for business in July, 1993.
Back then, Harvest Depot was only open from 1-6 pm, as Doug still worked part time at his other job. In the spring of 1996 Doug left his former job, and Harvest Depot became a full time business.
As the business grew, so did the need for more room! In the Spring of 2004, Harvest Depot moved to their present location on Highway 27. The present location is convenient and easy to find, and there is plenty of showroom space for display of product.
December 10th of 2010 Doug and Linda decided to sell to former employee Shawn Fear and his brother Doug Fear. We will remain a family owned and family oriented business with a name change to Fear Powersports. Come in and check out our newly expanded service department. Doug Schwartz is staying on to focus on the service area and Shawn's wife Nicole will be assisting in customer service.
Visit Fear Powersports soon to see first hand what Polaris has to offer!
